Dear BitDa user,
As cryptocurrency trading gains popularity, criminals are increasingly exploiting it for fraudulent activities. Scam tactics continue to evolve with new methods emerging regularly. BitDa urges all users to remain vigilant against these ever-changing scams and carefully verify all information to avoid financial losses. Remember: blockchain transactions are irreversible, and due to user anonymity, once funds are transferred or accounts compromised, recovery may be impossible.
Latest Scam Techniques:
Fraudsters send SMS messages falsely warning about account risks, directing victims to phishing sites mimicking BitDa's official platform.
Scammers use pretexts like "account clearance" or "service termination" to lure users to fake websites for "asset conversion."
Criminals claim order verification is needed, tricking users into visiting phishing sites for "account unlocking."
Imposters posing as BitDa staff with fake credentials allege account involvement in money laundering, high-risk activities, or freezing, demanding actions to "unlock" accounts.
Common Scam Tactics:
Scammers impersonate BitDa staff (including customer service) through calls, WeChat adds, or fake group invites. Typical schemes include:
Adding you on Facebook/Twitter, requesting your email, then sending malicious links/QR codes to steal login and banking credentials.
Convincing users to share screens remotely while guiding them through account actions, or requesting verification codes under false pretenses.
Providing fake URLs directing you to transfer funds to "secure accounts" or specific addresses for "unlocking" or "conversion."
Spoofing official communications (SMS/email/calls) claiming account issues requiring 2FA codes, QR scans, or phishing site visits.
Creating fake BitDa groups promoting fraudulent "asset exchange," "interest schemes," or "smart contracts."
How to Identify Scams:
BitDa news and updates are published on the official BitDa website. If you encounter activities elsewhere, they are scams. When in doubt, contact customer service immediately to avoid being scammed.
Security Reminder:
No platform or law enforcement staff will proactively contact you about your account being involved in money laundering risks, request your password, verification codes, or any sensitive information, or ask you to download third-party screen-sharing software. They will never instruct you to perform actions such as withdrawing funds, transferring assets, or verifying orders. For any BitDa-related updates, please refer to official BitDa announcements, carefully distinguish scam activities, and avoid financial losses.
Additionally, BitDa official customer service will never contact users by phone. The only communication channel for BitDa is through online customer service.
If you encounter any fund-related issues, please contact customer service immediately.
How to Verify the Authenticity of Websites or Emails?
You can confirm the authenticity of emails or websites through BitDa’s official customer service. If you receive an email from BitDa, verify the sender’s information right away. Also, enable phishing codes in system settings to add an extra layer of security to your emails.
Thank you for supporting BitDa!
